全裸の男を救うためにはキスをしなければならないと変態猫に言われて、やっちゃったのに何も起こらず、真っ赤になって激怒する女の子は好きですか？ はいっ。大好物でありますっ！ …なんかこんな風に書くと、すっごいだめな小説っぽいですが。うん、ある意味間違ってない。 もう、前半はフェティッシュ全開なストーリー運びで、俺何のライトノベル読んでるんだっけ？ とか、これって英語で許されるの？ とか、世の中の堕落っぷりに悲観するあまり、読んでる間不気味なニヤニヤ笑いがとまりませんでしたよ。 とはいえ、これの本筋は極太ファンタジー。主人公はネクロマンサーという、日本ではなかなかない設定。またこのネクロマンサーの魔法があんまり役に立たない（笑）のがリアルでいい。日本のそれはご都合便利魔法で溢れかえってるからなぁ…。 ファンタジー系の小説は結構読んでいるつもりで、何か読んでもどこかで見たような設定だなーと思うことが多かったのですが、この本はわりかし新鮮で面白かった。本場のファンタジーを読みたい、でもトールキンは手ごわすぎる、という方におすすめ。表紙のイラストがまるっきり男に見えるのは、ご愛嬌。 英語の難易度: ☆☆☆ 厚い本なのに、すらすら読めた。 お気に入り度: ☆☆☆☆☆ この本の影の主役は猫だ。猫だからって何をやっても許されると思うなよ。もっとやれ。 Do you like such a situation like a girl compulsorily being washed before a pervert cat? Yes, I do! Do you like the girl who crimsons and rages, when her was advised by the pervert cat to kiss a naked man to save him, and then realised nothing would happen? Yes, it's one of my weakness, sir! ... It seems as if this book is totally spoiled book. Yeah, it's right in a way. It has too fetishistic scenes in its first half so I thought "Oh, what light-novel it is?" or "Is it allowed in English?" or such thing while I was reading it. I so grieved to the degeneration in the world, and couldn't conceal perverted grin. However, it's main story is a solid fantasy adventure. The protagonist girl is a necromancer, that role barely seen in Japanese novel. That the magic of this necromansar is not fully useful makes its reality more. There are too many opportune convenient magics in Japanese novel ... Although I've read many fantasy books, it was fresh and fun. I recommend this book for someone want to read genuine fantasy book, but feel Tolkien is too difficult. Don't mind the surface illustration looks man. Difficulty of English: ☆☆☆ Despite of it's a thick one, I was able to read it relatively smoothly. Degree of favorite: ☆☆☆☆☆ The shadow protagonist is the cat. ああ、なんだ。意見を述べてくれた英文メールに返答してるうちに、結局のところ自分が何を本当に言いたかったのかがやっとわかりました。慣れない言語で文章を書くのは、考えをまとめるのに有用ですね。
今回のWind英訳パッチ発表は、"英訳版"という条件さえ付けば、欧米にもノベルゲームの潜在的な顧客がいるってことをアピールする絶好のチャンスでした。それなのに、彼らの振る舞いはそれとは正反対。自分等のコミュニティの外側に対して、"たとえ英訳版を作ったって、ちゃんと金を払う客なんかほとんどいない"という印象を与えていることに気が付いてないんですよね。 アホか。 Ah, I got it. 今回の件については論点が２点ありまして、ひとつは、パッチを受け取る事に当たって翻訳グループが確実な正規品の証拠、とりわけ、Windに封入されているアンケート葉書と、メーカーが入れた修正ディスク（但し、Web上により新しいバージョンがあります）の一枚を(複数人の証拠として使えないように)粉砕した写真を、証拠として送れ、と要求し、それに対する猛反発がおきていること。もうひとつは、実際にゲームを購入しようとせず、違法ダウンロードした人が多かったことです。
前者については、彼らのやり方ですし、あまり興味が無いのでスルー。後者について、あるフォーラムから拾ってきた割と良心的な意見に面白いものがあったので引っ張ってきました。 I cited some remarks form animesuki forum. Afterall, all fan translations are fundamentally illegal. If I were going on a big moral/ethical/legal kick, I should kick myself first! But, it's when people who pirate stuff act with "righteous indignation", like: "how dare they try to stop us from pirating!" or "let's get scans of all the packaging material so we can beat the test!" We don't deserve this stuff - we have absolutely no right to it unless we pay for it. If you're going to pirate something, fine -- do whatever you want. But don't expect people to go out of their way to help you, or provide translations for you, or whatever. NNL decided that they only want to provide their translation to people who actually bought the game. Their translation, their rules; translations don't "deserve" to be distributed to the general public. But look at what's happened... Really, the part that ticks me off isn't about this project. After all, as others have said (even the translation team themselves), Wind isn't the best visual novel out there, and even if those of us who did buy the game can't get the translation, we're no worse off than we were before. (After all, when I bought the game, I had no guarantee that the translation project would ever result in a finished product.) What gets me mad is the same thing that gets me mad about scanlations, fansubs, and the rest of this "scene". If you're a fan, you should be grateful for all the stuff you get that you don't deserve. And if there are strings attached, you shouldn't act indignant about it - you either deal with it, or you go without. In the "real world", this is common sense, but somehow the Internet exempts itself from such logic. This is a community that actually laughs -- really! -- at those of us who put our money where out mouths are. Isn't there something wrong with this picture? If people had a shred of dignity -- if they actually remembered that, every step along the way, there are actual, real human beings affected on a personal level -- maybe they'd show a bit more tact. But it seems like every time the community is given an opportunity to show what they're really made of, it falls flat on its face in a miserable display of selfishness, conceit, self-centered egotism, and stupidity. Everyone acts like piracy is something that "can't be helped", and implies that "some other sucker with money will buy it instead", but we've lost track of what's really important. We are the fans; we are the market. If we don't do our part, we will go without. Doesn't that bother anyone? Or are people only here (in this larger community) because it's free, entertaining, and passes the time until some other time-killer comes along... what a way to live! Anyway, and once again all the drama, but it just gets on my nerves. It doesn't surprise or upset me that people pirate Japanese games. What upsets me is that they act like it's their right to do so, and that those of us who do buy stuff as we're able are the weird exceptions. But, the reason I pirate unlicensed stuff is that I'm just not interesting in giving money to Japanese companies, when their products aren't marketed towards me (ie, someone who doesn't live in Japan or speaks the language). That's why I'll happily throw my money at local releases, but am not interested in importing anime/games from Japan. In other words, I want to pay for official English translations and local packages. Ultimo Spalpeenさんのところで、北米エロゲ市場での企業サイドの努力が紹介されていますが、ここ数日、個人翻訳領域でも大きな動きがありました。
まず、発端となったのが、3年がかりとなるWind-a breath of heart-の翻訳作業がついに終了し、北米では数少ないファンによる商用ゲーム完全翻訳*として発表され、期待を呼んでいたのです。が。 *（他には、キャッスルファンタジアとか、エヴァンゲリオン鋼鉄のガールフレンドとか、Planetarianなど数えるほどしか存在しないようです。サクラ大戦も、テキストだけは翻訳されてたっけな？） あまりの違法コピーの蔓延に翻訳プロジェクトサイドが怒り、僅か４日後に翻訳パッチを封印することを発表してしまいました。 流し読みによる知識によると、（数値は不正確かもしれません）パッチ公開後にP2PソフトにあげられたWindのダウンロード数が約1000、DVD版のパッチを受け取る為の、正規品を購入したことを証明するテストを受けたのは12人。合格したのは2人。 テストの内容は、たとえばディスクの表面に日本語が何文字あるか、（答えはゼロ）などというものなのですが、しれっと適当な数を答える輩が多数だったとか…。想像以上の違法ユーザーの多さに、今後別のゲームの翻訳にも暗い影を及ぼしそうな状況です。 第一印象は、あーあ、これでノベルゲームの北米浸透がまた遅れたな、という感じなのですが。一方で、翻訳者たちの感情も十分わかりますし。自分としてもいろいろ思うところがないでもないですが、まとめている時間がありませんよ。ついでにこの文を翻訳する時間も。(゜Д゜) というか、ちょっとペースが速すぎて状況のまとめすら追いつきません。時間があれば掲示板の発言等も拾いたいんだけどなぁ。 詳しいことは、下記などにありますので、だれか引き継ぐ方はいませんか？（笑） http://nnl1.com/wind/（翻訳したグループ） http://www.visualnews.net/ http://forums.haeleth.net/viewtopic.php?t=765（掲示板） |

英語漬け、ようやく全問題終了して100%になりました。
1300問？余裕。とか最初は思ってたけど、いやいやこれが。最大の敵は飽きでした。 意外と過去形の聞き分けができてないね。is と was とか、 are と were とか、全然違う音のような気もするけど、音が繋がるとかなり苦しい。あと L と R は鬼門。無理。 英語力チェックは、ずーっとAとSの間をふらふらしてて、結局グラフとしてはあんまり進展なかったんだけど、ちょっとは力になったのかな？ I finally completed Nintendo DS english learning soft Eigo-zuke. At first I thought "1300 questions? A piece of cake" but I was wrong. The most formidable enemy was my laziness. I found I was not able to distinguish present and past tense than I expected. is and was, are and were, sounds quite different sound when I hear it as an single sound, but when syllables are linked together it's pretty difficult. And, er I gave up to try to understand L and R. Impossible. The skill check indicated always between A and S level, it appeared there wasn't any progress from it after all. I hope it improved my english even a few, though. |

 ついに入手しました。イエッフー！！  なんで、外装の表とＤＶＤパッケージの表が逆向きになってるんだろう？ 日本からの輸出品取扱で有名な某所から購入したんですが、お互い日本に本拠があるのがわかっているのに英語とドルで取引をする摩訶不思議な情況に。ドル建てで日本の消費税を計算するのは、初めての体験でしたよ。 いや、DVDドライブ壊れっぱなしなんだけどね…。 I fell behind to buy it months by a person who fell behind to buy months, despite has declared reserving it. But I finally got Ever17. Hurrah!! I wonder why are exterior package's face and disk packages' face opposite? I bought it from a well-known shops of exported japanese goods. It may be worth to play if you are moved by the naming sense of the company name Punchline and the protagonist "Panchira-taro (underwear-expose-taro)".
