それは、前回偽物を掴まされたゲームソフトを、再度競り落とそうとeBayを彷徨っていたときのことであった。




あのー。なんか、とあるオーストラリアの方から、すっごく見覚えのある組み合わせが出品されているんですけど？

まるで、自分が1800円かけて送り返した海賊版ソフトが再度出品されてるような、デジャヴを感じるんですけど。奴はeBayから追放されたはずだが。

まさかねー。表面に記載されている振動機能が載ってないとか、そんな欠陥ソフトをのうのうと再出品するわけはないよね。商品説明の文もすごく似てるけど、単なる偶然だよね。

I feel as if I'm witnessing a dejavu that the exact pirated games I sent back taking 1800 yen are exhibiting again? He have been expelled from eBay, though.

No way. It can't be a defect game like lacking vibration feature will be up for again. Though the descriptions are very similar, it must be an coincidence.

ある静かなクリスマスの夜、少年は不思議な機関車に乗って、北極を目指す旅に出る。

聞いた話によると、もともと有名な子供向けの本だったものが、映画化されて、その再ノベライズ版だとか。その辺の経緯は知らない上での感想。

はらはらどきどき、とにかく短い間に次から次へと展開が変わるテンポの良さが持ち味。不思議の国のアリスなどのような、理屈を超越したようなご都合展開を許容できる人向け。場面を想像しやすい描写力は、さすが映画が元になっただけはあるかと。

英語の難易度: ☆☆☆ 機関車と、氷雪関連の単語が結構手ごわい。"少年"の名前が述べられず、常に"the boy"と呼ばれるため、登場人物の読み分けには注意が必要。
お気に入り度: ☆☆ まったく面白くないわけじゃないのだけれど。私的にいまひとつのめりこめなかったかなぁ。

A silent night on Christmas, a boy trips to the north pole on the locomotive.

I heard something like it's originally an children's book, and became a movie, then re-novelized. It's expression of person who don't know well about it.

Exciting and heart-pounding, the fast tempo just the situations change and change on each pages is the good point.　It's for person who can admit convenient stories like Alice's Adventures in Wonder land. Imaginable descriptions are worthy inherited from the movie.

Difficulty of English: ☆☆☆ The terms of locomotive and ice and snow are tough. The protagonist is anytime called as "the boy" not his name, so note to distinguish each characters.
Degree of favorite: ☆☆ This book isn't dull but somehow I couldn't be having strong inclination toward it personally.

mixiの英語初心者にお勧めの本、というスレッドで名を挙げられていた本。

30人分の生徒と教師の物語を、詰め込んだショートショート。Sideway(横道)に作られるはずが、間違ってWayside（道端）の細い空間に立てられてしまった学校には、その奇妙な学校に負けないぐらい奇妙な生徒が集まっていたのだった。

ナンセンスあり、語呂合わせあり、平易な単語で英語のジョークを満喫できる、英語初心者万人にお勧めできそうな本。後付けの作者紹介でさらにニヤリとする隠し味も。

英語の難易度:☆ 話が短いと、同じ単語レベルでも簡単に感じますよ。
お気に入り度:☆☆☆☆ さくさく読めて、面白い。最初の話がけっこう黒いんで、子供向けの話だと思っているとびっくりするかも。



This is a book that was recommended on "Recommendable books for english beginner" thread on mixi.

Short-short clamed thirty students and teachers story. Strange students gather strange school that build on narrow space of Wayside by mistake instead of by Sideway.

There are nonsense gag, pun, funny english joke written by plain words.　It's certainly recommendable book for beginner. Also you would grin when you read author introduction on appendix.

Difficulty of English: ☆ It would feel easy if capter is short.
Degree of favorite: ☆☆☆☆ Concise and entertaining. Because first chapter has slightly dark taste, so if you expect children's book you may be surprised.

Shadow of The Colossus

eBayで競り落とした、Shadow of The Colossus（邦題:ワンダともじゃもじゃ巨像達）やってます。

毛が生えている機械巨兵というビジュアルと、それによじ登る主人公にまず大笑い。微妙に新しいんじゃね、このスタイルは。

ただ、ゲーム的な面を見ると、こちらの攻略法も巨像の攻撃のパターンも1種類ぐらいづつしかないので（実際ほとんど攻撃らしい攻撃をしてこない巨像も多い）張り付き方がわからないと、倒せないし倒されもしない延々緊張感のない追いかけっこを続けることになるのが難点。４体目のお馬さんの倒し方がわからなくて、ちと投げ出そうかと思ったよ。一見アクションゲームっぽいけど、内面はかなりパズルゲーム寄りなのね。

実は愛馬で自由気ままに走り回るのが、このゲームの真の楽しみ方なんじゃないかと思った。

Leafの陵辱系エロゲ。恵ルートクリア後の感想。いや面白かった。

どんな選択肢を選んでも大概誰かしら女の子が半端なく酷い目にあうんで、そういうのが駄目な人にはまったくもってお勧めできないけど、これなかなかに出来がいいですよ。

ちゃんと選んだ選択肢に対してレスポンスを感じさせてくれるのが好印象。その辺のエロゲにありがちな、直接関係ない好感度の積み重ねで展開が決まったり、下手すると選択肢があったことにすら気づかないゲームとは異なって、選択肢を間違えると「あの時違う選択肢を選んでおけばっ！」と後でフィードバックが帰ってくるシナリオの妙。いや、これができていないソフトのなんと多いことか。別に全てのアドベンチャーがそうある必要はないと思うけどね。ひとつひとつの選択肢に重みがあるエロゲはほんと久しぶりだ。(Fateとかも即バッドエンドあるけど、あれって作者との先の読みあいじゃなくて、ストーリー強制の手段に感じる)

残念ながら中盤ちょっとその丁寧さが消えるきらいがあるけど、テキストも中々にフックが効いていてセンスがあるし、Elfの遺作/鬼作以降、このレベルに匹敵するサスペンスゲームはもう2度と遊べないのかと思っていたので（関係ないけどThe God of Deathは酷かった）もう大満足。



Shadow of The Colossus

I'm now playing Shadow of The Colossus that I've won at eBay.

The appearance of shaggy artificial colossus, and the protagonist who climb it is looks funny. This style is novel, isn't it?

However, thinking of gaming aspect, there isn't much various neither player's tactical method nor colossus' attak pattern (There are actually almost not attacking colossuses) so the game may tend to be in a vapid deadlock due to player doesn't have a clue how to beat it and also can't be beated. I almost gave up at the horse, forth colossus. It seemed as if an action game, but it's rather a puzzle game actually.

I think may be the true way to enjoy the game is enjoy free running with his horse.


Kusari

Leaf's violating ero-game. It's a impression after finished Megumi route. That's exciting.

I can't recommend it for someone at all who hate rape, slay or similar element because some girls are raped no matter how you choose selections. However it's a well made game.

I have good impression about what this game has distinct response to selections. Different from common ero-games, those games' story is decided from daily goodwill points those are generally unrelated the certain branch or moreover player even can't aware that there was a branch, on other hand you will suffer regrettable bad result if you mistake a each selection in the game. How many games are not able to make feel that response. I don't think all ero-games don't have to that though. It's a while since I played such game has significance selections. (Though Fate also had immediately badends, but I felt it was enforcement of "best story" not challenging foresight)

Unfortunately careful work fades out at middle story, but the text certainly has a sense, and I've thought that may be I could never play suspense game that's comparable with Elf's old works Isaku/Kisaku, so I very satisfied now. (Btw The God of Death was really crap)

ここ最近、時間を費やしていた原因が、これ。




米国版ゲームボーイアドバンスのソフト。
eBayという海外のオークションサイトで競り落としたのはいいものの、それが騒乱の幕開けになるとは露知らず。


まず、送金した直後に業者がeBayの登録から外される。自分の買った商品もリストから抹消される。ちょっと嫌な予感はしたものの、メールで連絡をしてみたところ、他の客とトラブった為との連絡がわりと直ぐに帰ってくる。自分の買った品物も既に発送済みで確実に届くとのことなので、とりあえず情況を静観。

小包が数日後無事届いたが、自分はオーストラリアの業者と取引したはずなのに、なぜか発送元のスタンプはマレーシア。不安がいやましてくる。高まる疑心から必死で気を逸らそうとしながら、長旅のせいか微妙に印刷が不鮮明なパッケージを開けてみる。

うん、内容は問題ないよね。ちゃんとソフトと説明書が入ってる。他にはなんにもない。





ああ、これは海賊版だ。



いや、中々に精巧にできているんですよ。ただ、説明書が妙に薄くて権利関係の記載がまったく載ってないとか、複数のカートリッジの型番がみんな同一だとか、新品だからアンケート葉書とかが入ってそうなのに見当たらないとか、決定的なのは轟振どりるれろ(英題 Drill Dozer)は特注の振動カートリッジを使っていて、他のGBAソフトとは形状が異なるはずなのに、そうでない。（起動させてみたらやっぱり振動できなかった）

今回、運良くはっきり模造品であると断定できる条件がそろったので良かったのですが、ソフト単体で見たら海賊版であると気づかないかもしれない出来でした。

エミュレータの存在は知っていたけど、海賊業者がGBAのハードコピーまでできるとは知らなかった。さんざ業者に文句をつけた末に、全額返金で叩き返しましたが、日本からの発送費1800円（到着通知費込み）は自分持ち。まったく高い勉強代になりました。eBayの99.0％の評判はそこまで信用してはいけないということか。ていうかさ、考えたくもないけれど、英語圏ってこの手のソフトが結構流通してるのかね？


さて、気を取り直して今度こそGunstar Super Heroesの純正品競り落とし、いっとく？（懲りてない）




This is the cause I had recently lost my time.




English edition Gameboy advance soft.
I had won those on eBay, but I didn't know that that would be start of trouble.

First of all, the seller was canceled his registeretion from ebay just after I paid. The merchandise lists I bought were also removed. Though I had a bad hunch, I received a response that the seller had a trouble with other customer and was unregistered, but my items had shipped already and will arrived for sure. So I waited to see how that is going.

And as he said I received the package. I dealt with an Australian dealer but sender address is Malaysia. I had worse hunch. As desperately quelling suspicious, I'd opened one package which is obscure presumably due to their long trip.

Contents are looks fine. Just a software and a mannual. There is no extra.






Okey, This is pirated game.

It looks quite clever. However the manual is unnaturally thin and there isn't description about the right at all. Plural cartridges have just same hardware number. Even though they were sealed there isn't a questionnaire or something. And conclusively Drill Dozer one of games I bought should have a custom cartridge that includes vibration function but it's not. (It actually can't vibrate)

Fortunately I can definitely confide it's not genuine for those reasons, but I might not notice if I look them by just a cartridge.

Though I had known of existing of some emulator but I didn't know pirate dealer can make even a pirate hardware copy. I've sent back them to the seller with a bunch of complaint. The shipping fee from Japan (about US$15) is my pay after all. It was an expensive lesson. I'd leaned that 99.0% reputation on eBay is can't rely anyway. Btw though I don't want so, but are those bootlegs spreading in English language sphere?

Well, then let's re-bid genuine Gunstar Super Heroes? (don't learn anything from this failure)
